The Chinese embassy said in a statement that those who had taken two doses of the vaccine or one dose at least 14 days earlier could apply for a visa. The statement was sent to Chinese embassies in India, Pakistan, Philippines, Italy, Sri Lanka and other countries.

বিভিন্ন দেশে চীনের দূতাবাস নোটিশ জারি করে বলেছে, যারা চীনের তৈরি টিকা নিয়েছেন, তাদের ভিসার আবেদন নেওয়া শুরু করা হবে। যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে নিযুক্ত চীনের দূতাবাসও এক বিবৃতিতে স্থানীয় সময় সোমবার এ কথা জানিয়েছে। এ সপ্তাহ থেকেই এ প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হবে। যারা চীনে আবার কাজ শুরু করতে চান, বাণিজ্যিক ভ্রমণ করতে চান অথবা নিজের পরিবারের সঙ্গে দেখা করার মতো মানবিক প্রয়োজনে যেতে চান, তাদের ভিসা দেওয়া হবে। কিন্তু শর্ত হলো তাদের চীনে তৈরি টিকা নিতে হবে।

বেইজিং নিজেদের প্রস্তুত করা টিকার মাধ্যমে টিকাদান কর্মসূচি চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। তবে দেশটি এখনো বিদেশে তৈরি কোনো টিকার অনুমোদন দেয়নি। চীন বিদেশেও তাদের প্রস্তুতকৃত টিকা পাঠিয়েছে।

চীনের দূতাবাস বিবৃতিতে বলেছে, যারা টিকার দুটি ডোজ নিয়েছেন অথবা কমপক্ষে ১৪ দিন আগে একটি ডোজ নিয়েছেন, তারা ভিসার জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবেন। ভারত, পাকিস্তান, ফিলিপাইন, ইতালি, শ্রীলঙ্কাসহ বিভিন্ন দেশে থাকা চীনের দূতাবাসে এ বিবৃতি পাঠানো হয়েছে।

বিদেশ থেকে চীনে গেলে এখনো তিন সপ্তাহ কোয়ারেন্টিনে থাকতে হয়। তুরস্ক, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, কম্বোডিয়াসহ বিভিন্ন দেশে চীন টিকা সরবরাহ করেছে। ফিলিপাইনে দুই সপ্তাহ আগে চীন থেকে ছয় লাখ টিকার ডোজ এসে পৌঁছেছে।
