স্বায়ত্তশাসিত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হলেও নিজেদের সিদ্ধান্তে অনড় থাকতে পারে না ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (ঢাবি) কর্তৃপক্ষ। বারবার পরিবর্তন হয় তাদের সিদ্ধান্ত। এতে ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেছেন শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীরা। গত বছরের ২৬ ডিসেম্বর সেশনজট নিরসনে অনার্স শেষবর্ষ ও মাস্টার্স পরীক্ষা নেয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিল ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। অনেক শিক্ষার্থী সে অনুযায়ী প্রস্তুতিও নেন; কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত পরীক্ষাটা আর হয়নি। এরপর গত ৩১ জানুয়ারি একাডেমিক কাউন্সিলের সভায় ১৩ মার্চ পরীক্ষার্থীদের জন্য হল খুলে দেয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়; কিন্তু ১৭ মে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের হল এবং ২৪ মে ক্লাস শুরুর ঘোষণার পর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসনও তাদের সিদ্ধান্ত থেকে সরে আসে। শিক্ষার্থীদের আন্দোলনের মুখে গত মঙ্গলবার জরুরি একাডেমিক সভা ডাকলেও শেষ পর্যন্ত সরকারি সিদ্ধান্তই বহাল থাকে।Even though it is an autonomous university, the authorities of Dhaka University (DU) cannot be adamant in their decision. Their decisions change again and again. Teachers and students have expressed their displeasure. On December 26 last year, Dhaka University decided to take the Honors final year and Masters exams to resolve the session jam. Many students also prepare accordingly; But in the end the test did not happen. Then, at the meeting of the Academic Council on January 31, Dhaka University decided to open the hall for the examinees on March 13; But after the announcement of the commencement of classes in the university hall on May 16 and on May 24, the university administration also backed away from their decision. In the face of the student movement, an emergency academic meeting was called last Tuesday, but in the end the government's decision remained in force.
